Please provide a snapshot of your LDAP configuration.
Two things you can check.
1. Make sure that the user entered in the LDAP configuration has full permissions to retrieve the information.
2. Check to make sure that the user in #1 above has the domain associated for authentication.
What version of GAMFT are you using?
