GoAnywhere Solves Banking File Transfer Problems

Linoma Software [now HelpSystems] announces availability of a case study describing how its customer, FPS GOLD, solved some years-long problems by using the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer solution.

FPS GOLD logoFPS GOLD is a services company for community banks that was plagued by dropped files and cumbersome procedures for setting up new clients. Among other problems, their old system could not handle the thousands of daily file transfers. It required special scripts and staggered processing to function, and the old system's log made it difficult to detect errors.

Since adopting GoAnywhere, FPS GOLD has solved their file transfer problems. GoAnywhere is capable of handling the volume of transfers FPS GOLD needs. Its clustered architecture is so reliable that FPS GOLD hasn't lost a single file since installing it. Set-up time for new customers has been cut to 15 minutes, and being able to view GoAnywhere's job log has proven to be a "valuable time-saving feature," in the words of the customer. In addition, FPS GOLD estimates a savings of $12,000 per year in licensing fees over its old solution.

GoAnywhere is a managed file transfer solution that streamlines and manages data movement from a centralized location. It lets enterprises connect to almost any internal or external system and securely exchange data. GoAnywhere also allows trading partners and employees to connect to your systems securely and easily via common server protocols (e.g., FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTPS) and offers a browser interface. GoAnywhere Gateway lets trading partners connect without having to open incoming ports into a private network or having to store sensitive information in a DMZ or perimeter network.

Further details on FPS GOLD's file-transfer transformation are available at http://go.linomasoftware.com/fps-gold.
