(October 20th, 2009) - Linoma Software [now Fortra] is proud to announce that its GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution has been validated to run on IBM System p and System z platforms.
Linoma worked with IBM through a special program, named Chiphopper, for the validation testing of GoAnywhere. Through the Chiphopper program, IBM provided Linoma's engineers with the equipment, software and technical resources that were needed for this project. As a result, Linoma was able to verify that GoAnywhere operates on Linux and AIX operating systems for the IBM System p platform, as well as Linux on the System z (mainframe) platform without any adverse effects to functionality or performance.
GoAnywhere is a J2EE application and has been widely used by customers across a spectrum of platforms, including IBM System i, Windows and Linux on Intel. "We were fairly confident that GoAnywhere would run on IBM's Linux and AIX environments, since GoAnywhere was designed from the ground-up as an OS-neutral solution.
