LAS VEGAS: April 15, 2016 … Unlimi-Tech Software, Inc., an Emmy® award-winning pioneer in managed file transfers, and the creator of FileCatalyst, a world leading accelerated file transfer solution, is pleased to announce the launch of the FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin for Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC at NAB 2016.
As an industry-leading non-linear video editing application and a key component of Adobe Creative Cloud®, Adobe Premiere Pro CC is used by filmmakers, TV broadcasters, journalists and videographers for video editing. As capture and delivery formats evolve to higher resolution, this production work is resulting in larger and larger file sizes. Moving these assets across a WAN for sharing and collaboration is one of the challenges in these workflows.
The patented FileCatalyst protocol is UDP-based and immune to network impairments, such as latency and packet loss. It offers incredible speed gains versus traditional methods, allowing transfer speeds up to hundreds of times faster than traditional FTP.
The FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro CC allows for the distribution of these large assets from within the application. The plugin provides an address field where users can enter an email address, multiple addresses or a distribution list.
The FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin leverages FileCatalyst TransferAgent, an application that is able to accept remote calls to initiate uploads and downloads with a FileCatalyst Server. TransferAgent also provides a feature called Link, which solves the problem of sending large attachments, and makes it simple for users to quickly send files as an email link to another user. The feature set was designed from the beginning to be fully leveraged by third party applications, such as Adobe Premier Pro CC. Along with sharing files, the system can simplify review and approval of video content.
“Partner integrations help Adobe customers extend and connect the pieces in their production process,” said Sue Skidmore, head of partner relations for Adobe Pro Video. “FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin allows editors in Adobe Premiere Pro CC to transcode their timelines using Adobe Media Encoder and send the rendered content to the specified email address in one integrated workflow.”
“The timing for production ready content can be critical,” said Chris Bailey, CEO & Co-founder of Unlimi-Tech. “The new FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro CC helps reduce the burden of moving these assets across the WAN because it leverages the FileCatalyst Emmy award winning, patented algorithms to ensure the fastest file delivery, all from the Adobe Premiere Pro CC interface.”
The FileCatalyst Delivery Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro CC will be shown at NAB at the FileCatalyst Booth (SL 10716) and will be made available publicly shortly after the show.
