What’s New in GoAnywhere? Version 7.8 Moves Closer to File Acceleration Integration
GoAnywhere MFT has released v7.8, the latest version of the software Info-Tech rated #1 in the MFT sector for four years running. This latest release, along with new releases of Gateway and Agents, enhances security, performance, efficiency, and reliability.
“Many customers are hitting network and performance bottlenecks with traditional file transfer protocols such SFTP, FTPS and HTTPS when it comes to sending files in adverse conditions, or when those files are very large, said Tracy Anderson, Senior Software Development Manager, GoAnywhere MFT. “The FileCatalyst Service integration in this version is a big step in allowing GoAnywhere customers to reach speeds up to 10 times (or more) faster than with traditional protocols in those same network conditions.”
Enhanced MFT Performance and Efficiency
Managed File Transfer (MFT) is designed to help organizations be efficient as well as secure around the data entrusted to them. These updates help support those initiatives:
- FileCatalyst Service file acceleration enhancements help streamline large file transfers, and transfers of thousands of smaller files, around the world, even in adverse network conditions.
- Reduced memory fragmentation to help improve transfer stability and lower memory usage.
- IP filtering improvements optimize resource usage and speed in access control processes.
Improved File Transfer Security and Compliance
Version 7.8 of GoAnywhere expands cloud storage options, enhances compliance and access control, and strengthens system security. Highlights:
- Azure Data Lake Gen2 integration expands options for cloud storage.
- Diagnostics-View permission restrictions further access control to help protect sensitive system information.
- Job File Auditing for PeSIT actions delivers more audit trail visibility for compliance requirements.
- Updated third-party libraries address known CVEs to help reduce system risks.
Improved File Transfer Monitoring, Management and System Stability
Functionality for managing remote file systems was added, as well as additional transparency for administrative actions via File Manager logging in the solution’s Audit logs. In addition, there were improvements in Gateway messaging to help prevent memory leaks and improve system resilience.
