Tradeshow Recap: Exploring Cloud File Transfer at Red Hat Summit 2018

Last week marked the first year for GoAnywhere as an exhibitor at Red Hat Summit in San Francisco. The three-day conference was a whirlwind of activity, great conversations, and opportunities to connect with over 6,000 members of the Red Hat community who were eager to learn about secure file transfer.

Red Hat Summit’s “Ideas Worth Exploring” theme really seemed to permeate the conference overall and definitely was top of mind on the floor of the Ecosystem Expo where we met with attendees and heard their feedback on the sessions and keynotes.

Many people said they were attending the show specifically to learn about new innovations in the Linux space. The expo was key to helping them discover products that could help them improve processes at work. Many expressed concern with using outdated technology and tools that are making them less productive, vulnerable to security threats, and unable to keep up with modern-day industry demands.

Attendees who stopped by the GoAnywhere booth were interested in everything from cloud deployment to compliance and scalability. During the conference’s many cloud sessions, we encountered several people who were interested in hearing about how easy it is to deploy GoAnywhere on-premises and in the cloud with the availability of our AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Azure options for GoAnywhere.

Additionally, attendees showed interest in learning how managed file transfer addresses compliance needs for attendees working with HIPAA, FISMA, and PCI DSS. Booth visitors were treated to gourmet chocolates from Nebraska, our famous GoAnywhere pens, and a chance to spin our prize wheel to win cash, steel mugs, cups, and gift cards.

If you missed us at Red Hat Summit, you can still catch us on the road in the months to come at various events from coast to coast. Don’t have time to travel? Mark your calendars to attend the Virtual VMUG Conference on June 7th and chat with our friendly reps online!
